Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
- Place a teaspoon of fruit jam in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry squares into triangles, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of each turnover.
- Sprinkle with sugar if desired for extra sweetness.
- Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
