Description
A light and refreshing frozen dessert made with fresh pomegranate juice, this Pomegranate Sorbet delivers a balance of sweet and tart flavors in every scoop. Vegan, dairy-free, and rich in antioxidants, it’s the perfect healthy treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 cups fresh pomegranate juice (store-bought or freshly juiced)
½ cup granulated sugar or honey
½ cup water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Pomegranate seeds and mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves completely, forming a simple syrup.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
Stir in pomegranate juice and lemon juice. Mix well.
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours until very cold.
Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.
Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 3–4 hours before serving.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and pomegranate seeds if desired.
Notes
No Ice Cream Maker? Pour the chilled mixture into a shallow dish, freeze for 30 minutes, stir with a fork, and repeat every 30 minutes for about 3 hours.
Adjust sweetness to taste — pomegranates vary in tartness.
For a deeper flavor, use a mix of pomegranate and cranberry juice.
Serve in chilled glass bowls for an elegant presentation.
